Custom Dictionary

The dictionary lets your church define custom translation terms — church names, theological vocabulary, place names, and proper nouns that should always translate a specific way.

Open My Account → Settings → Dictionary. Custom dictionary is available on Pro and Premium plans.

Where to find it

Dictionary lives under My Account → Settings (not in the top navigation). Old bookmarks to /dictionary redirect there automatically.

How dictionary terms work

Each term is stored for one target language (for example English or Spanish). During live translation, only pairs for that language are sent to the model. If the source phrase still appears in the caption, it is replaced with your target wording.

Existing terms that were created before language-aware dictionaries are treated as English.

Forward-looking only

Dictionary entries apply to new live translation only. Past sessions in Sermon History keep the wording captured at recording time unless you edit them manually.

Add a term

1. Choose the Target language.
2. Enter the Original text (source language phrase).
3. Enter the Translation, or click a suggested wording.
4. Click + Add.

Example: English · source 여호와 → target Yahweh. Add a separate Spanish row if you want Yahvé.

Edit or delete terms

• Click the pencil icon to edit a term inline
• Click the delete icon to remove a term

Search

Use the search box to filter terms by original text, translation, or language. You can also filter the list to one target language.

Import CSV

Bulk-import up to 500 terms from a CSV file:

1. Click Import CSV
2. Select a UTF-8 CSV file with source and target columns, and an optional targetLang column

• A two-column file uses the target language currently selected in the form
• An optional header row (source,translation or source,target,targetLang) is skipped automatically
• Quote fields that contain commas
• Empty or invalid rows are ignored
• Duplicate source + targetLang pairs update the existing term (up to 1,000 terms per church)
