Getting Started

Welcome to the OmniWord Help Center. OmniWord is a browser-based platform for real-time sermon translation — your media team runs live translation from a web browser, congregants follow captions on their phones, and a caption window (or ProPresenter / OBS) can show on-screen subtitles.

What is OmniWord?

OmniWord helps churches deliver live sermon translation to every seat in the room:

• Operator console — capture microphone audio, transcribe speech, and translate in real time
• Congregation viewer — attendees scan a QR code and read live captions on their phones (no app install)
• Screen captions — caption-only browser window, Web Overlay URLs (ProPresenter / OBS / vMix), or ProPresenter Direct Message tokens
• Sermon history — saved transcripts, exports, and Post-Sermon AI assets (Premium unlimited; other plans get 2 free VIP trials)

OmniWord works entirely in the browser. You need a church PC with microphone access and a stable internet connection. On-screen captions can use a caption window with no extra software, or optionally ProPresenter, OBS, or vMix. Configure overlay delivery under My Account → Settings → Screens & Broadcast (per room).

Create an account

1. Go to app.omniword.com (or your church's OmniWord app URL).
2. Click Create Account and enter Full name, Church / organization name, Email, and Password.
3. New accounts receive $20 in promotional credit (expires in 30 days) to try live translation.

You can also use Continue with Google when your administrator has enabled it.

Quick start (Sunday morning)

Four steps — same order every service

Run through these in sequence before the worship team goes live. Detailed walkthroughs: Live Translation · Mobile Viewers

Step 1 — Open your dashboard

Select a Room and click Open.

Step 2 — Set up audio and languages

Choose your Microphone, Speaker language, and Live Translation language(s) in the Languages section on the Live screen. To put captions on a hall screen without ProPresenter or OBS, click the monitor button (caption window). Overlay URLs: My Account → Settings → Screens & Broadcast.

Step 3 — Share the QR code

Click QR Code in the Live top bar so congregants can scan and follow translations on their phones.

Step 4 — Start Service

Click Start Service — captions appear as the speaker talks.

Supported languages

OmniWord supports 20 translation languages:

Korean, English, Chinese (Simplified & Traditional), Japanese, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Italian, German, Filipino, Indonesian, Vietnamese, Hindi, Arabic, Russian, Thai, Swahili, Sinhala, and Tamil.
